| CSA International product alert for mini crafting iron APB 01-08 |
Toronto, ON – March 11, 2008 – CSA International is alerting the public regarding certain Mini Crafting Iron products. The affected product packaging bears a counterfeit (unauthorized) registered CSA trade-mark.
The affected products were imported and distributed by Darice Inc. of Stongsville, Ohio and sold throughout retail locations in Canada and the United States. The product is not certified by CSA International and is not eligible to bear the CSA International certification mark.
Mini Crafting Irons have not been tested or evaluated in the normal course of certification by CSA International. Sample irons tested by CSA International do not meet the applicable CSA standards and could pose a shock and fire hazard.
